The Wheatsheaf Inn is a delightful, unspoilt pub nestled in the Woodford Valley. The pub itself is about 200 years old and is decorated in a traditional style, reflective of its age and charm. Homely features such as an open fire and wooden beams make the Wheatsheaf feel cosy all year round.
The pub benefits from an extended dining area and is half way between Stonehenge and Salisbury on the smallest back road - a proper country lane! Being in such a rural position, the pub is blessed with local scenic walks, ideal for cycling on or walking the dog and finishing with a pint of Badger Beer to quench the thirst.
The Wheatsheaf is convenient for exploring the nearby Heale House (unchanged since Charles II hid there in 1651) with its beautiful riverside gardens, and the ancient monument Stonehenge.
We love dogs, as all good pubs should! Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our bar and outdoor areas. Wi-Fi access is free to all our guests (subject to availability).
The Wheatsheaf Inn is proud to be part of the Hall & Woodhouse family. For more information on Hall & Woodhouse and to find other Hall & Woodhouse houses click here.
